Akie Sakiyama received the B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in computer and information sciences from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 2014, 2015 and 2018, respectively. She was a Research Fellow (DC1) of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). She joined Toyota Motor Corporation in 2018.
She received IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) Japan Student Journal Paper Award and IEEE SPS Japan Best Paper Award from IEEE SPS Tokyo Joint Chapter in 2015 and 2016, respectively. She also received the TELECOM System Technology Student Award (with highest honors) from the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation in 2016 and the Young Researchers' Award from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE) in 2017. Her current research interests are graph signal processing and high-dimensional data analysis.
